How to explain the physical states of water to 4–5 years old children?

Water can be in three different states: solid, liquid, and gas.

Solid water is like ice cubes in a drink. It’s cold and complex, and you can hold it in your hand.

Liquid water is like the water in your drink. It’s flowing, and you can pour it from one cup to another.

Gas water is like the steam that comes from a pot while cooking. You can’t see it, but you can feel the heat and see the mist.

When you heat solid water, it turns into liquid water. When you heat up liquid water even more, it turns into gas water. And when you cool down gas water, it turns into liquid water. And when you cool down liquid water even more, it turns into solid water.

So, water can change from one state to another depending on the temperature!
